Issue 39
4 January 2012
The fifth annual National Apprenticeship Week will take place from 6-10 February 2012. Coordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS), it is designed to celebrate Apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals and businesses.
Last year more than 500 events and activities were on offer, ranging from business events designed to encourage more employers to recruit apprentices, to interactive careers events aimed at potential apprentices. The over-arching theme for this year’s Week is “Get with Apprenticeships”, designed to complement the new national marketing campaign for Apprenticeships.
Everyone with an interest in Apprenticeships can get involved in the Week. A toolkit with lots of practical advice and ideas to help organisations plan their own events is available on the apprenticeships.org.uk website.
A national calendar of events will also be available on the website, so you can find out what is happening in your local area.
