The Placement Technical Guidance for Independent Specialist Providers for 2012/13 is now available on the YPLA website. This guidance sets out the procedures and criteria for the agreement and placement of learners at independent specialist providers in accordance with local authorities’ and the Young People’s Learning Agency's legal duties and powers.
The Placement Information: Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (LLDD) at Independent Specialist Provider 2012/13 is also available. This information has been produced to support local authorities in their legal duties and powers under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009, in relation to securing the provision of education and training at Independent Specialist Providers for learners with LDD, who are over compulsory school age but under 25 and are subject to a learning difficulty assessment.
